Harper was booked into the Dallas County jail one week later, jail records show, and he remains in custody. He also faces misdemeanor gun and drug charges, and his total bail is set at $255,500.

A second suspect, 21-year-old Kelvin Lamone Davis Jr., was arrested in early September and has since posted bond on $25,000 bail, court records show. His case has not yet been taken up by a grand jury.

Their attorneys could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
