Silver Alert: Elderly man was last seen driving black Dodge Charger in Lake Dallas

Authorities in Lake Dallas are asking for the public’s help finding a missing elderly man who has a cognitive impairment.

A Silver Alert has been issued for 86-year-old James Payne, who was last seen driving in the 5500 Block of Knights Court, neat Swisher and North Shady Shores roads in Lake Dallas, about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Payne is described as a white man who is 5-11 and about 200 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve burgundy T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes.

He was driving a black 2008 Dodge Charger with Texas license plate FYX-9189.

Police believe his disappearance poses a risk to his health and safety.
