Trying to get on the nice list? Mail letters to Santa at this Arlington post office

Arlington is helping residents get on the nice list this year, with a new mailbox setup just for letters to Santa Claus.

The bright red mailbox is at the downtown Arlington post office located at 300 East South St. The mailbox will be at the post office until Dec. 23 and the city is encouraging residents come out to take photos, according to a Downtown Arlington news release.First COVID-19 vaccines arrive at Methodist Dallas Medical Center

Residents can also take part in the USPS Operation Santa Program, a national initiative by the postal service. The program, started by the USPS in 1912, allows people and organizations to respond to children’s letters to Santa and sometimes includes gift giving.

The Operation Santa program is taking letters up until Saturday. The letters have to be addressed to Santa, include his address at 123 Elf Road and be postmarked by Tuesday.
