50-year-old fatally stabbed younger man at Red Bird motel, Dallas police say

A 50-year-old man is in custody after a fatal stabbing at a Red Bird motel.

Jerome Franchae Knight faces a murder charge in the death of Christopher Miles, 37.

Dallas police were called about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday to the Super 7 Inn in the 4200 block of Independence Drive, near West Camp Wisdom and South Cockrell Hill roads. Miles was stabbed multiple times.

Miles was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Police arrested Knight at the motel and he was booked into the Dallas County jail. His bail has not been set and it is unclear whether he has an attorney.
