A man was found fatally shot at his far northeast Dallas apartment early Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call about 6:20 a.m. at the Oasis Apartments complex in the 9600 block of Forest Lane.

When they arrived, officers found Timothy Nelson, 54, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in front of his apartment door. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

After conducting an investigation, police arrested 41-year-old Titia Green as a suspect in Nelson’s death.

She was taken to the Dallas County Jail and faces a murder charge. A bond has not been set.

Police did not provide details of what led to the shooting.
