A person was fatally shot early Sunday at a motel in Far East Dallas, police say.
Officers responded to the shooting at a Budget Inn in the 12400 block of East Northwest Highway, near Garland Road and Interstate 635, shortly after 5 a.m., police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, died later at a hospital.
Details of what led to the shooting were not immediately available, and a suspect had not been identified.
