Storms return by midweek

Sunday started out cool, in the low 50s. But sunshine and a returning south wind brought a quick warm up by afternoon, with highs in the low 80s.

The warm and dry weather pattern will continue through the start of the work week with highs in the mid 80s on Monday, in spite of increasing high clouds. Tuesday will be a mostly cloudy day, with storms developing west of Fort Worth by evening. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase Wednesday and Thursday. A few storms could be strong to severe. But the main threat may be locally heavy rain. Over two inches of rain is possible. Check back for updates.
