Lauren Danielle Dovers, 25, was arrested Tuesday in the death of 29-year-old Jordan Von Hoffman, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office said.

Dovers faces a charge of tampering or fabricating physical evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse, a second-degree felony.

She is being held at the Ellis County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

On April 8, officials arrested Trenton James Adams, 28, at an apartment in Houston.

Adams faces a murder charge in Hoffman’s death, officials said.

On March 24 about 4:15 p.m., deputies responded to a suspicious activity call in the 6900 block of Ensign Road in Ennis. The caller believed a body was on the property.

Ellis County sheriff’s deputies responded with assistance from the Texas Rangers, officials said.

The victim was identified as Von Hoffman of Waxahachie, and the cause of death was ruled a homicide, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office investigated and found evidence linking Adams to Von Hoffman’s death. Officials did not release details of the investigation.

Adams’ recommended bond is $1 million, officials said. He is also wanted on a parole violation, for which there is no bond.
