Very warm Monday before the next cold front arrives

The storm system responsible for the recent pattern of rainy weather in North Texas finally moved east out of Texas. This allowed sunshine to return by Sunday afternoon with high temperatures reaching 81 at DFW Airport.

Monday will be sunny and even warmer. Some areas, especially west of Fort Worth, could exceed 90 degrees. But the next cold front will arrive Monday night into Tuesday morning. There is a low chance that a few storms could develop along that front, but the chance of anything in Dallas-Fort Worth is probably less than 10%. Storms will be much more likely east of Dallas. Then it will turn breezy and cooler Tuesday.

The rest of the work week will feature mainly sunny skies with lower than normal humidity for early May.
