2 men arrested after gunfight at Grapevine gas station leaves 3 wounded

Two men were in custody Tuesday evening after an exchange of gunfire in Grapevine earlier in the day left three men wounded.

According to police, two men in a black Dodge Charger exchanged gunfire with two men in a white Nissan Altima about 4:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven in the 3500 block of Grapevine Mills Boulevard North, near State Highway 121. Police later reported finding two guns and drugs at the gas station.

The Dodge drove west down Grapevine Mills and stopped outside a Jack in the Box, while the Nissan drove east.

Officers responding to the fast-food restaurant found both men in the Dodge wounded. They were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police found a gun on the ground and, believing one of the shooters may have been on foot, started searching the area. They told people to avoid the area during the investigation.

A short time later, the driver of a Nissan approached a DFW Airport police officer at a gas station and said that his passenger had been shot multiple times. The passenger was taken to a hospital, while the driver was held for questioning.

Authorities determined that those men were connected to the shooting.

The Nissan’s driver was arrested on a charge of deadly conduct, and one of the men from the Dodge was taken into custody after being medically cleared. Both men were being held at the Grapevine jail, and their names had not been released.

Police said more arrests and additional charges are possible. Anyone with information about the incident may contact police at cidmail@grapevinetexas.gov.
