1 dead, 1 critical, 2 gunmen at large after shootings in Fort Worth

Authorities are looking for two gunmen after Fort Worth police said two connected shootings left one man dead and another critically wounded.

Officers were called about 2 p.m. Friday about a shooting in the 1500 block of East Presidio Street, near Pine Street just south of Interstate 30.

Police said two men argued outside. One then retrieved a gun and shot the other man, who was pronounced dead at a hospital. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as 31-year-old Hassan Harris of Fort Worth.

Minutes later, another man started shooting at the first gunman, according to police, and a bystander was struck. That person was in critical condition, police said.

Police said the public was not believed to be in any danger. A nearby school was placed on a brief lockdown but has reopened.

Anyone with information about the shootings may contact police at 817-392-4330.
