4-year-old wounded in shooting at southeast Dallas apartment that left multiple people injured, police say

A 4-year-old child was shot in the foot in a shooting at a southeast Dallas apartment that left multiple people wounded Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded about 4:30 p.m. to the 300 block of North Jim Miller Road, where the shooting was reported.

The child was taken to a hospital for treatment, police said. Multiple other people had injuries that were not life-threatening, according to police.

It was unclear what happened before the child was shot and who fired the weapon. No additional details were immediately available.
