Lower humidity, but still hot

The next few days will feature more sunshine and the humidity will be on the lower side. However, it’ll still be hot with highs in the upper 90s through Thursday. With the lower humidity, the afternoon heat index will be 98-102.

An Air Quality Alert remains in effect Wednesday for parts of North Texas centered on the DFW area. People with respiratory issues should remain inside.

There will be no significant rain chances in North Texas through the weekend. A tropical system may bring some rain and storms to coastal sections of Texas and Louisiana this weekend.
