Stretch your legs and get some fresh air at these Colleyville parks

Even though temperatures are rising, July is National Park and Recreation Month and the city of Colleyville has about a dozen parks and trails open for outdoor activities.

Reservations can be made for pavilions and sports fields.

  • Bransford Park (405 Shelton Drive) which includes historic markers, sculptures and open space.
  • City Park (5205 Bransford Road) has baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, concessions, restrooms, a pavilion, pond, amphitheater and a trail.
  • Colleyville Nature Center (Mill Creek and Mill Wood Drive) boasts 46 acres with nine ponds, trails, an amphitheater, a pavilion, a playground and a fishing pier.
  • Cotton Belt Trail (various locations) is a regional trail connecting Grapevine, Colleyville, Hurst and North Richland Hills.
  • Kidsville (5190 Bransford Road) has 10,000 square feet of playground space.
  • Kimzey Park (Melanie Drive and Atlantic Drive) includes a fishing pond, a playground, an open play area, a trail, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court and a pavilion.
  • LD Lockett Park (315 L.D. Lockett Road) has walking paths and ponds, and the Cotton Belt Trail runs along it.
  • McPherson Park (240 West McDonwell School Road) has a splash pad, playground, picnic and restroom along with multiple sculptures, play areas, trails, gardens and historic structures.
  • Pleasant Run Soccer Complex and Park (6501 Pleasant Run Road) has multiple soccer fields along with picnic areas, a trail, restrooms and concession facilities.
  • Reagan Park (709 L.D. Lockett Road) has two softball and baseball fields with batting cages.
  • Sparger Park (4301 Bedford Road) has two playgrounds, a picnic area, open space, restrooms and a multi-use trail along with a memorial.
  • Webb House (408 Shelton Drive) is a historic site built in 1914 and located in Bransford Park.
  • Woodbriar Park (301 W. Greenbriar Drive) has a pavilion, a trail, a playground and an arbor.
