Cooler and wetter weather on the way

er

The breezy and muggy weather will continue Friday night. Low temperatures will be in the upper 70s with a balmy south breeze of 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday will remain dry and very warm with highs in the mid-90s. Much of Sunday will be dry as well, but a cold front will move into Northwest Texas perhaps triggering a few late-day showers and storms. The severe weather threat is low, but pockets of heavy rain cannot be ruled out, mainly across Northwest Texas.

The overall pattern becomes more unsettled next week with a drop in temperatures and daily rain chances. Humidity levels will remain on the muggy side but at least temperatures won’t be as high. Some heavy rain is possible Monday and Tuesday, perhaps one to two inches.
