A gradual warming trend

North Texas has enjoyed a couple of below normal temperature days already this week, and Wednesday will still be relatively comfortable. Highs will be in the low 90s with only a moderate amount of humidity.

A warming trend will send afternoon temperatures Thursday and Friday into the mid 90s, and into the upper 90s this weekend. In addition, humidity levels will be increasing by the weekend meaning that heat index values will rise to 105 to 110.

Rain chances remain rather slim, although a stray shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out Thursday and Friday, but most areas will be dry. Much of next week looks hot and dry across North Texas.
