Sunny and hot all week

Sunday was another sunny and hot day across North Texas. Although the temperature climbed to the upper 90s, the dew point fell from the low 70s on Saturday to the upper 60s Sunday afternoon. That small drop in the humidity means that the Heat Advisory will not be extended into Monday.

This late summer heat will continue throughout the week with temperatures above the normal high of 95 degrees. It will continue to feel muggy as well, even if it doesn’t quite reach the level of requiring a Heat Advisory..

The heat dome may retreat to the north by next weekend, which will drop temperatures back to normal levels. There may also be a chance of some isolated thunderstorms early the following week.
