Heat returnsHeat returns

With northwest flow in place, a weak upper level disturbance will bring one last chance for storms to North Texas overnight. But the best chance for any rain will be south of DFW, and even there not everyone will see a storm.

After that, a ridge starts to build overhead as we head into the beginning of the week. This will lead to sunshine and highs into the mid to upper-90s. And heat index values will likely top the century mark.
