Slight chance of storms, otherwise hot and sunny

With the jet stream well north of Texas, the weather pattern will be hot and mainly dry for the next several days.

A cluster of thunderstorms will move across Oklahoma today and may affect parts of North Texas around midday. They could bring brief gusty winds and cooler weather. Aside from that chance around midday, the afternoon hours looks sunny and hot.

The normal high is around 90 for early June. Instead, most locations will top out in the middle to upper 90s, today and Thursday.

With the humidity, it will feel like 100-103. A moderate south breeze will offer some slight heat relief.

Friday could very well be the first triple digit day of the year at DFW. The hot weather will last through next week.
