Man killed in central Oak Cliff shooting, Dallas police say

A man was fatally shot Monday evening in central Oak Cliff, Dallas police said.

Officers were called about 7:30 p.m. to the 3400 block of Navajo Drive, near West Kiest Boulevard and South Polk Street, for a report of a car crash, authorities said.

Several people had pulled William Glen Wright, who had been shot, from his silver Dodge pickup, authorities said. Wright, 57, was taken to a hospital but died.

Police believe someone in a red Dodge Charger shot Wright, but did not provide any further information.

Anyone with information should call Detective Jeffrey Loeb at jeffrey.loeb@dallascityhall.com or 214-671-3702.
