Heat advisory this weekend

This will be the hottest weekend of the year so far with highs from 100 to 105, and a heat index of 105-110. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon Saturday through 7 pm Sunday.

Record tying heat is likely at DFW both Saturday and Sunday with highs around 103. Make sure you drink plenty of water and don’t over exert yourself. If you have to do work outside, take frequent breaks. Check on your elderly loved ones and neighbors. Please make sure your pets are brought inside, or at least have access to plenty of shade and fresh water

The hot weather will extend into next week as well with little hope for rain.
