A brief warm up, then more rain

The weather system that brought showers and thunderstorms to parts of North Texas Wednesday night and Thursday is moving away. Expect a stretch of dry weather from Thursday night through Saturday.

There will be a warmup Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid 90s, but it will be short-lived. A significant change in our weather pattern will lead to a cool and likely wet week next week. Monday through Wednesday feature a good chance of showers and storms with highs in the 80s.

The rain potential across all of North Texas next week will be one to three inches with isolated areas receiving higher amounts.
