Grand Prairie police asking for leads after man found dead in car on Interstate 30

Grand Prairie police are asking the public for leads after a man was found dead in a truck on Interstate 30 over the weekend.

About 9:15 p.m. Sunday, a Cadillac was driving east in the 1500 block of East I-30 when it hit a truck that was disabled in one of the highway lanes, police said.

The driver of the truck, identified as 38-year-old Olman Rodriguez, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Cadillac had minor injuries.

Police said Thursday their investigation determined Rodriguez was a homicide victim and his death was unrelated to the crash. A third car was likely involved, police said.

Police are asking anyone who was traveling on Interstate 30 near Belt Line Road around the time of the crash and saw a 2007 black Dodge Ram interacting with another car to contact the department.
