How long will we be living in the 90s? The hot North Texas weather forecast

A late summer pattern is keeping the hot and dry weather in place across North Texas. High temperatures will be running about 10-12 degrees above normal for the next few days, topping out in the upper 90s. With the humidity, it will feel like the triple digits today.

Thursday evening is the official start of fall. However, it will continue to feel like summer into the weekend. In addition, dry weatherwill persist beneath sunny skies.

Next week some heat relief is expected in the form of a cold front Monday. This front will bring highs back down into the 80s with overnight lows into the 60s. Unfortunately though, the chance of rain looks low.
