Beautiful fall weather

A gorgeous day is in store for North Texas. Unlike yesterday’s high in the mid 90s, today will be much cooler thanks to a cold front that pushed through. Morning temperatures are starting in the 50s and 60s. Sunny skies all day long will help promote a nice warm-up with an afternoon high in the lower 80s. Despite a light wind today, the concern for grassfires persists with the drought and low humidity. Otherwise, it will be a very nice day.

Warmer weather is scheduled for Friday and Saturday with highs into the upper 80s and low 90s, respectively. It will be mostly sunny to start the weekend before clouds and rain chances the second half.

Our next cold front is expected to arrive Sunday. Along with cooler temperatures it will also bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The rain chances will extend into Monday as well. Rain totals could range from 0.75″ to 1.0″ across North Texas with heavier amounts to the south. In addition to the rain, next week looks quite cool with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s for a couple days!
