5 people wounded in shooting at Far East Dallas gas station, police say

Five people were wounded in a shooting at a Far East Dallas gas station Friday night, police say.

Officers were called about 9:10 p.m. to a 7-Eleven at John West Road and La Prada Drive, on the city’s border with Mesquite, where a shooting had been reported.

According to police, someone shot at multiple people from a vehicle before fleeing.

Five people — ages 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 — were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. Their identities were not released.

No additional information about what led to the shooting or possible suspects was immediately available.
