First playground project completed under Richardson 2021 bond program

Richardson has marked the completion of the first of nine playground renovation projects approved by voters under the 2021 bond.

Woodhaven Grove Park Playground, 713 S. Grove Road, is now officially completed and open, the city stated in an announcement.

Several weeks of construction at the park saw the installation of new equipment and accessibility upgrades to ramps and walkways.

Other playgrounds slated be renovated in 2023 are:

Mark Twain Park, 1238 Larkspur Drive
Terrace Park, 200 N. Lois Lane
Berkner Park, 1800 E. Spring Valley Road
The city renovates or places park playgrounds every 15-20 years as funding becomes available.
