Woman fatally shot during argument in Far North Dallas, man arrested

A 62-year-old man was arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman in Far North Dallas on Friday night.

Richard Davis was booked into the Dallas County jail on a murder charge. His bail had not been set Saturday, and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Officers responded about 6:15 p.m. Friday to a shooting call in the 3400 block of Misty Meadow Drive, near Marsh and Briargrove lanes.

They found a woman shot, and she died at that location, police said. Her identity has not been released.

Police said their investigation found that the victim was arguing with a man who then shot her and fled before authorities arrived.

No additional details were immediately available.
