A chilly start to a gorgeous Sunday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — It was definitely a windy Saturday with wind gusts rising to near 40 mph. A wind advisory will stay in place until 8 pm Saturday evening. Winds should decrease overnight under clearing skies.

With cooler air and clear skies in place, temperatures will be dropping into the upper 40s/low 50s for Sunday morning. Full sunshine will allow for temperatures to warm into the low to mid 80s by the afternoon.

What does next week look like?

The work week will start just like the weekend finished: Sunny with low humidity and pleasant temps. You’ll feel the moisture levels rising Tuesday as the Gulf breeze picks up, and thunderstorm chances return for the latter half of the week as upper air disturbances roll over the warm, humid air. It will be getting warmer with highs possibly hitting 90 by the end of the week!

Is there any more severe weather coming next week?

It’s possible, but too soon to say at this time. It does look like we may have some increasing instability by the end of the work week but it is too early to nail down the risk, if any, yet.
