Dallas: Pakistani music industry legend, Sajjad Ali, has expressed that he has no intention of singing any songs related to the political system and issues in Pakistan. He wishes to continue in the genre of music he is currently associated with. He made these remarks during a special interview with editor in chief Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada in the city of Dallas, Texas, USA. In response to a question, he further stated that due to the various systems and issues prevailing in Pakistan, people there are constantly engrossed in those matters. This is why there are fewer music channels and more news channels in Pakistan. He also mentioned that her genre of music includes romantic, melancholic songs, and happy numbers. He does not want to deviate from this genre or pursue any other agenda. Sajjad Ali further stated that he considers music as a form of entertainment. There is some soft music in his singing, but he is not inclined towards music that is trendy. This is his style, and he prefers to stay true to it without actively seeking new experiences or exploring new things. Sajjad also mentioned that his song, which was released four years ago, is gaining popularity again. His songs like ‘Ravi,’ ‘Lagaya Dil,’ and ‘Mehi’ are still being widely appreciated. In response to a question about the influence of the Indian film industry, sajjad Ali stated that the Indian film industry has elevated our artists and singers to such heights that it is very difficult to achieve similar stardom while residing in Pakistan. Regarding an offer from the Indian film industry, he mentioned that he has received several offers during the ’90s and 2000s for singing in films. Since he is a pop singer and not a playback singer, he had an idea that if he sang songs according to their preferences, he wouldn’t know how the composition and lyrics would turn out. Hence, he was hesitant to pursue it. Sajjad stated that he doesn’t agree with the notion that the music which was popular in the past is no longer listened to. Everything is still heard, provided it is presented in the right manner. Even in a changing trend, children are still listening to songs like ‘Ravi’ because artists need to work hard, and the songs I create are listened to by people of all ages. I don’t need to follow trends or worry about the times. Sajjad further mentioned that he came to the United States ten years ago, and the residents of both countries have shown their great acceptance. His shows are being sold out, and his international promoter, Rehan Siddiqui, has arranged concerts for him in various states across to the United States , all of which have been successful.
