The protest rally against human rights violations in Pakistan took place in front of the Federal Building in Downtown Houston

Houston : Against alleged human rights violations in Pakistan, suppression of freedom of expression and use of state power against PTI and in favor of Imran Khan, Friends of Pakistan and Pakistani Americans held a protest rally in Houston. It was led by the leaders of PTI America, Sajjad Barki, Atif Khan a protest rally was organized in Houston by Friends of Pakistan and Pakistani Americans. The rally was led by PTI USA leaders Sajjad Burki and Atif Khan. On this occasion, they also submitted a written petition, accompanied by signatures of thousands of Pakistani Americans, to representatives of the US Congress. Sheila Jackson Lee, Chairperson of the Pakistan Caucus in Congress, also addressed the rally and expressed deep concern over human rights abuses in Pakistan.

The protesting participants held banners and placards in their hands, demanding the immediate release of PTI leaders and workers, as well as an end to the violations of human rights. They called for the swift recovery of political leaders, workers, and media personnel. During the rally, Sajjad Burki and Atif Khan urged the Biden administration to take note of human rights violations in Pakistan and utilize all available means to promote reconciliation.

The participants also demanded the immediate release of Omar Riaz Khan, Imran Riaz Khan, and BOL’s Head of Marketing, who were mentioned during the speeches by Sajjad Burki and Atif Khan.
