Argument between neighbors turns into deadly shooting in southeast Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texa (KTRK) — One man is dead after gunfire erupted during an argument in a neighborhood near the Almeda Mall on Sunday, according to police.

The Houston Police Department said the shooting happened at about 11:30 a.m. at 10503 Kirkglen Drive.

According to Lt. Jose Rosas with HPD, two men, confirmed to be neighbors, got into an argument, leading one to shoot the other in the chest.

It is unknown what the dispute was about, but according to officials, it was an ongoing feud between them for months or years.

The victim’s ID has yet to be confirmed, Rosas said.

The investigation is ongoing.
