Dangerous heat continues in Dallas – Fort Worth

The already intense heat in North Texas is going to increase this week before it lets up. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday. Afternoon heat index values will range from 110-115 both Tuesday and Wednesday. Please continue to take those heat precautions and make sure to stay hydrated.

A building ridge of high pressure will allow temperatures to soar over the next several days. The hottest weather is expected by Wednesday with a high of 107.

Toward the end of the week the extreme heat will lessen just a bit. In fact, a shift in the overall weather pattern should allow for highs to come down into the 90s by early next week for several days.

In the meantime, be safe and stay cool!
