Hot now, then hotter next week

The heat wave continues across the entire region thanks to high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere. That means high temperatures across North Texas will range from 98 to 103 on Friday. Unfortunately, there’s no significant break from the heat showing up anytime soon. Rain chances are also likely to remain absent for at least the next 7-10 days.

Even hotter weather is expected from Sunday into next week. Highs will be close to the record highs of 106 Sunday and Monday. Much of next week will have highs above 102.
