Man fatally shot during ‘disturbance’ in Rylie neighborhood, Dallas police say

Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally shot Saturday evening in Rylie, according to Dallas police.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 2000 block of Vine Lane, police said. Rylie is a neighborhood in the southeastern portion of the city.

Officers found a man, identified as Hector Barrios Verdugo, 36, who had been shot at the location, police said. He later died at a hospital.

Investigators believe Verdugo was shot “during a disturbance,” police said.
