Finally, some heat relief; Cold front on the horizon

A break in the heat comes in the form of a summertime cold front on Monday. This frontal boundary will drop highs into the mid to upper-90s and lows into the 60s and 70s for the first half of the week.

This break will be brief as dangerous heat returns to North Texas from Thursday afternoon into next weekend. This spell of hot temperatures will once again reach near record highs.
