Man arrested after gunshot victim found dead in Fort Worth apartment, police say

A 26-year-old was arrested Saturday after police found a dead person in a Fort Worth apartment, records show.

Marshall Lambert faces a murder charge and was booked into the city jail about 10:30 p.m., according to jail records. Bail was set at $100,000, and it was unclear whether Lambert had an attorney.

Officers responded about 4:40 p.m. to the 6500 block of Plaza Parkway and found a male victim dead with apparent gunshot wounds inside an apartment, according to police.

No identification of the victim was available in the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office records as of Sunday afternoon.

Police said Lambert lived in the apartment complex but did not release details about what occurred before the shooting.

Police responded to the apartment because a caller told dispatchers that her friend said her son shot someone and sent a photograph of a male lying in a pool of blood, according to a Fort Worth Star-Telegram report.
