The weather week you’ve been waiting for: Cooler temperatures coming to North Texas

We’re ending the weekend with highs below 100-degrees. Expect highs for Sunday afternoon into the mid-90s.

A long-awaited change in the pattern is expected for the week ahead with a chance of thunderstorms and cooler weather. The best time frame for widespread rain next week looks to be Tuesday through Thursday. The computer models are showing encouraging signs of rain totals between 1 to 3 inches over the next several days!

Temperatures will come down quite a bit with highs in the 80s. Lows in the 60s can be expected toward the end of next week. Northern counties along the Red River could witness lows into the upper-50s. Finally, a taste of fall will move into North Texas.
