Officers responded about 4:40 a.m. Friday to the 3100 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Ivan Street, where they found two teens suffering gunshot wounds.

According to police, one of the teens died of his injuries Sunday. The second teen is expected to recover.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the slaying, police said, adding he faces one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one of manslaughter.

None of the teens’ names will be released due to their ages, police said.
