The outcome of the armed bystander who reportedly shot and killed a robbery suspect will be decided by a grand jury, as confirmed by the Houston Police Department

In northwest Houston, a man who allegedly shot and killed a robbery suspect at a gas station will have his fate determined by a grand jury, as per police reports.

The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. at a gas station located at 11095 Ella Boulevard on Friday.

Emergency medical personnel transported the robbery suspect to a hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound, but he was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the deceased individual is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to police, the male shooter did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Witnesses informed detectives that the robbery suspect had targeted several individuals while they were refueling their vehicles. The male shooter, who witnessed the robbery, fired a shot at the suspect, striking him. Following the shooting, the shooter left the scene but later contacted and met with authorities.

Providing a statement to detectives, the shooter was subsequently released after law enforcement contacted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
