Darius Rucker, aged 57, was reportedly arrested on three misdemeanor charges in Williamson County, Tennessee.
According to TMZ, the country singer was charged with two misdemeanor drug offenses, specifically for simple possession and casual exchange of a controlled substance.
Additionally, he faced one misdemeanor charge for violating the city’s vehicle registration law, allegedly due to carrying expired tags on his car on February 1.
Rucker, known for his role in Hootie and the Blowfish, has since been released on $10,500 bond.
In December, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to country music, following the release of his first solo album in six years.
During his acceptance speech, Rucker expressed gratitude for his three children: Carolyn, 28, from his previous marriage, and Daniella, 22, and Jack, 18, with his current wife Beth Leonard, stating that they are his heart and soul.
