According to court records, a La Marque police officer posted a $5,000 bond for a charge of solicitation of prostitution.

In Houston, Texas, Mandella Mosley, a La Marque police officer, faced legal trouble after Houston police accused him of attempting to pay an undercover officer for sexual services.

32-year-old Mosley was apprehended Thursday afternoon and charged with solicitation of prostitution, a felony offense in Texas since 2021. Authorities allege that he offered $60 to an officer from the Houston Police Department’s Vice Division in exchange for oral sex.

Efforts to reach Mosley at his residence in Humble were unsuccessful as no one responded to the door.

In January 203, the La Marque Police Department shared several photos of Mosley when he joined the force. While the department directed inquiries about his arrest to Houston police, they confirmed that Mosley has been put on administrative leave.

Houston police, in turn, referred to court documents that did not detail how the solicitation conversation transpired or whether Mosley was in uniform or driving his La Marque patrol car during the incident.

After posting a $5,000 bond, Mosley was released from custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
