J-Hope takes to streets to celebrate ‘Hope Day’ amid military service

BTS’ J-Hope celebrated his 30th birthday by visiting fans celebratory billboards and banners in Seoul on Sunday, February 18.

The South-Korean rapper took to Instagram, posting a series of images and videos on his Stories. He shared the latter to his stories, writing: “HAPPY,” “HOPE,” “DAY” on each in sequence.

The videos featured birthday banners and billboards in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. The K-pop idol flaunted his birthday shenanigans, prepared by his beloved army all across the world.

The picture that was added as the final of the three featured J-Hope, pulling off a subtle look in a denim jacket and black beanie.

The 30-year-old rapper looked dapper, striking a pose in his round semi-black specs, topped off with an all-black mask.

The BTS members were enlisted in the military in December 2023, including J-Hope. The Dynamite star started his mandatory military service on April 18, 2023.

He is currently serving as a training instructor at the Baekho Recruit Training Battalion, 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon Province.

The rapper is expected to discharge from the military on October 17.
