2024 Houston Downtown Rodeo Parade

The Downtown Rodeo parade made its way through the streets of Houston, celebrating Western heritage and signaling the start of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Since 1938, the City of Houston has commemorated the beginning of rodeo season with the Downtown Rodeo Parade. In 1959, ABC13 televised the parade live for the first time, using three cameras positioned along the parade route. This marked the initiation of a longstanding partnership between the station and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, with Channel 13 broadcasting the parade every year since then.
