The Terrell Police Department responded to multiple reports on Sunday regarding an individual standing in the roadway of I-20.
While en route to the scene around 12:41 a.m., authorities received an additional call from a driver reporting that they had collided with the person standing in the roadway.
Initial accounts indicated that the individual was unresponsive, and upon police arrival, it was observed that the man had sustained significant injuries, as stated by the Terrell Police in an official statement.
The man struck by the vehicle was identified as Octavius Demond Rose, 24 years old, and he was transported for further examination through an autopsy.
