HPD investigating fatal shooting where man was found dead in SE Houston intersection Friday evening

The Houston Police Department is currently investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in an intersection in southeast Houston late Friday evening.

Christopher Hassig from HPD reported that officers were called to the 4300 block of Brisbane and Safeguard. Upon arrival, the Houston Fire Department had already discovered a man who appeared to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim, described as a Black man, has not had his age confirmed at this time.

Witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots but were unable to provide any identification for the victim.

As of now, HPD has not released any description of a suspect involved in the incident.
