One year after search begins for Everman boy, no sign of his body or his mother

It has been one year since the global search for a missing Everman boy commenced officially.

The disappearance of Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez triggered an Amber Alert and initiated an international hunt for his fugitive mother, Cindy Rodriguez Singh.

Despite ongoing efforts, the 6-year-old’s remains remain undiscovered, as does his mother’s whereabouts.

C.W. Spencer, the Everman Police Chief, addressed the media in March 2023, expressing urgency in the search for the missing child.

Following extensive searches in and around the family’s residence, authorities sadly announced that Noel was presumed deceased. Although his body hasn’t been located, trained K9s detected human remains in the backyard of their home.

Noel’s mother, stepfather, and six siblings resided in a decrepit shed behind a property owned by Charles Parson.

While the police investigation began in March 2023, reports indicated that Noel hadn’t been seen since November 2022.

Upon initial investigations, Parson defended the Singhs, claiming they were friends, and suggested authorities were searching in the wrong place. He alleged Noel was living with an aunt in Mexico, a claim that authorities refuted after checking with family members.

Recently, Parson, a potential witness in any future legal proceedings, passed away from natural causes.

Around the time of the investigation’s commencement, Noel’s mother and stepfather fled the country with their other children, first to Istanbul and then to New Delhi, India.

Everman Police, alongside the FBI Dallas Division and international law enforcement, are working diligently to locate Rodriguez-Singh and bring her back to North Texas to face charges related to Noel’s death.

Patricia Paris, a former foster parent to Noel and his siblings, remains deeply affected by the case, particularly as the one-year mark passes.

Paris is hopeful that justice will be served, despite the challenges of locating the fugitive parents in a foreign country like India.

In Noel’s memory, a playground for children of all abilities has been dedicated in his honor.

The Everman Police Department reaffirmed their commitment to seeking justice for Noel, expressing gratitude for the community’s support and promising to continue working tirelessly until closure is achieved.
