Possibly intoxicated driver detained after car crashes into NW Harris Co. home, Pct. 4 says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A horrifying incident of a car crashing into a house over Easter weekend was captured on video in northwest Harris County.

The homeowner recounted to that he and his family were spending the weekend at home when their tranquility was shattered by a car plowing into their living room.

The video captures the family’s screams as the vehicle smashes through the home on Chalet Road last Saturday.

Harris County Precinct 1 deputies swiftly responded to the scene of the accident, reporting that the driver exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.

According to the homeowner, his 4-year-old son became trapped under debris but was thankfully rescued unharmed.

Although twelve individuals were reportedly inside the house at the time, fortunately, no injuries were reported.
