Dallas police search for hit-and-run driver who left a man dead early Saturday

Dallas police are currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Saturday in the 11200 block of Petal Street, located just west of Jupiter Road. Upon receiving the call, Dallas police officers promptly responded to the scene.

According to initial investigations, a man was walking when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to assess whether the pedestrian required assistance.

Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. Dallas police have stated that they will refrain from releasing the victim’s identity until his family has been notified.

At present, there is no available information regarding the make or model of the vehicle involved in the incident.
