Dallas crash victims sue Chiefs’ Rashee Rice, SMU’s Teddy Knox seeking more than $1M

Two Dallas residents, Edvard Petrovskiy and Irina Gromova, have filed a lawsuit in Dallas County against Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and SMU cornerback Theodore “Teddy” Knox, following a multi-vehicle crash last month that left them and at least five others injured.

In their lawsuit, Petrovskiy and Gromova are seeking damages exceeding $1 million. The lawsuit, filed on Thursday, alleges that Rice and Knox engaged in a high-speed race despite knowing that the road was heavily trafficked with commuters. As a result of the crash, Petrovskiy and Gromova sustained severe injuries, including brain trauma, facial lacerations requiring stitches, contusions, disfigurement, and internal bleeding.

Attorneys representing Rice and Knox have not yet responded to requests for comment.
